Our herd consists of approximately 10 adult does, a couple junior does, our breeding buck(s), and several spring kids. Our goal is to have approximately 10 does give birth each year. The does are a mixture of commercial and ABGA registered. Our main buck is an ABGA registered, Fullblood Boer. We are striving to breed an easy keeping, strong, meaty Boer. We expect our herd size to fluctuate as we continue our effort to improve our herd.
We do periodic testing for CAE, CL and Johne's and screen animals that come into our herd. Our most recent whole herd test was in November, 2018 for CAE. We have done "maternal line" screening in more recent years. If you are interested in purchasing a goat, feel free to contact us. Depending on the time of year, we may have does, wethers and possibly bucks for sale. Prices vary depending on the quality of each individual goat. |
